This is a silly question maybe...
Are chickens crops off centre on the breast? I guess the keel would be on the way but the crop is above?
One of my chickens has a very pronounced bulge on one side. Looking closer they all seem to be a bit lop sided after eating. So I'm guessing its their crop but I just imagined it to be in the middle.

Hi Rick.
What you describe is perfectly normal. I'd expect to feel a bulge slightly right of centre when they've been eating well. You'll find it more prominent too as the nights get colder; they eat more before going to sleep, to keep them warm over night.

Thanks. I thought it must be right. Its hard to know what's going on under feathers!

Very noticeable on a Transylvanian Naked Neck. All ours are offset to their right and usually full- little piggies!
