I have been quietly hatching both bantams and LF since my latest loss in May of this year, I have managed 2 white croads and 3 black, I did not realise how stunning the white ones were never having seen one, only photos. They have the most beautiful slate legs, they are so pretty. With the whiter than white plumage they are very chic.

They are of course, well mannered ladies and large and usually totally laid back about life. I have 3 black all different ages. What they do not do easily is give a clue about what sex they are until they are much older than the average chicken when it can be sexed.
Last night I put them in with my 3 young Silkies, about the same age, but girls thankfully, white, blue and blue splash.

They do sound lovely, and commiserations on your loss of your earlier flock. How satisfying it will be, though, to watch a new batch grow up. They are beautiful birds, both colours.

Boo, hoo. I really mean it Hen-Gen, I cannot do difficult things like post pictures, so sorry.
Even my granddaughters who are so clever with online stuff say the task beats them too.
