Great excitement, my Starry has laid her first egg. It is a beautiful turquoise, and not tiddly at all. I've waited 29 weeks for this event! I must admit I thought it was never going to happen. She came from the most lovely colour and confirmation egg, so, like mum, like daughter.
Granddaughter No.1 has bagged it, G No. 2 said "er, no thanks", she likes her eggs brown or white!.

Even greater excitement, today has laid her 2nd egg........................
My previous CL was a truly dreadful layer, and only laid a handful of eggs over her lifetime, so I am truly delighted. Long may the blue production continue!

Sounds as if you've got a good one there,Val. they always look to me as if you could eat the whole egg, shell and all - sort of like blue sugared almonds.

laid a 3rd one yesterday, I am really delighted with her, she is a real sweetie, very pretty now, has gone from being my little raptor to Starry, the wonder girl.
