Noticed this morning a couple of my girls are sneezing. There's no mucus or weepy eyes, the ventilation in the house seems fine, no strong smells etc.
They're feeding fine and are behaving as per usual.
All bedding is horse hemp style stuff so should be dust free although I've changed brand but can't see that being an issue .

Is this something that should pass or think I need to jump on it with something now?

Have a look at them later in the day, sometimes when they come out first thing and start eating you might see the odd sneeze..but they shouldn't once they have been out roaming for a while.

Okies will do, easy to check as the main sneezer doesn't leave me alone at all, and enjoys scooping all the corn from my hands and all over the place!

Out of interest, what have you changed to? I've read somewhere of allergic reactions to Hemcore, as it has citronella in it. Maybe this is the cause of the sneezing?

Its unbranded, place we always use for wifeys horse bedding started selling it as hemcore/aubiose was getting more expensive so they're trying this out.

Some of ours used to sneeze in Summer with no adverse effects. I always thought it was a hay fever type of thing, perhaps along the lines of Icemaiden's comment Bickerton. Seems interesting that they started sneezing shortly after the change in bedding.

Yup, will see how they are the rest of the week, if it starts up again I shall be returning the bedding to the farm.

Seems to have subsided but the bedding in the run has had some moisture added to it with the rain so it could just be slightly dusty from when it first came out of the bag, I had put down more than I usually would have too.

Sneezing again!

Have checked all the birds over and no snotty noses, gluey eyes or any change in behavior whatsoever.

Will rip out the bedding from the house and replace with something else to rule that out as assume at this stage its likely to just be caused by dust or do they get symptom less sneezing in other ways?

Only dust or possibly allergies in my experience Bickerton. Bedding would be my first assumption this time of year.

I agree with Chris. Sneezing in itself is superficial and is more often than not associated with dust. As long as their chests don't develop a rattle, they should be fine.
