confused hen??

one of my three ladies has stopped laying and will crow in the morning!!! She is a Maran cross and quite a big girl, previously laying lovely dark eggs any ideas how I can encourage her back to business???

If they are not with a cockerel the dominent female will take on the role of a cockerel, showing the other girls where the food is and mimic a cockerels traits (but without the funny business

lol a customer of mine has just brought me a wellsummer hen telling me it is a cockerel as it crows and is very bossy, I nearly lmao :lol: but for good customer relations, i took it back and its happily roaming my garden with a cockerel and not crowing, hope another of his hens don't start or i will be getting another back :twisted:

Hi, i have a poland hen who, if removed from the cockerel- crows, calls the other hens and behaves like a real man :shock: she still lays and once back in with the cockerel she is the "perfect wife" :lol:
