i wonder if members could help a friend of mine who lives in australia has 3 banties trouble is 1 turned out to be a cockerel at present no complaints, is there any breed that is not so noisy as she would still like to have a cockerel

I don't find there's a breed less noisy but some individuals are.

The Brahma I just got rid of was not particularly quiet, but had a much deeper crow that seemed less piercing than a 'normal' cock.

We've had a very quiet, almost silent Buff Orpington once. Our Wyandottes are very loud indeed and reputed to be the loudest breed. As Chuck says, it will be a matter of finding a quiet individual, which are rare.
