My Welsumer cockeral has developed small black scabs on his comb and wattle they are not on the tip's, more towards the centre, I thought it was dirt and tried to rub them of but they started to bleed. Grateful for any help. Regards.Senna

sounds like he is getting "hen pecked" - sometimes the hens will pick at the cockerels face/comb - especially if he isn't dominant enough or has been with them for a long time- can you seperate him for a few days and see if it clears up? If it does , he will be keener to put the hens in place once he returns.
