hello all, my cockeral has rather scaly legs which i treat regularly with a spray but recently he looks unwell , struggles to walk and when held his foot seems to be held in an awkward way but he shows no sign of pain when i feel his foot can anyone please help? thank you in advance

with regard to the scaley legs, once u have sprayed and treated them and killed the mites it will take quite some time for the old scales to fall off and fresh new ones to be seen. when you say he struggles to walk, do you mean he is limping or he seems unable to support himself on his legs?

hello mightymohan, walking looks painful and he spends most of his time standing on one leg. his legs have always had large hard lumps on them and we have sprayed for mites regularly for some time. we dont spray the hens legs which are all fine so i wonder if his problem isnt mites. hes about six years old so a bit of arthritis perhaps? although this has come on very suddenly.

hello, no visually his feet look ok except for the way he holds it
