Chikens + geese will it work? please advise!!

Hi, I am having from a friend, 5 very happy hens who are laying lots of eggs! they are extremly tame and my kids love to pick them up for a cuddle!!! I would like to have some guard geese, pref babies so they will get used to the family! is this ok? will they all live happily together and if so what would be the best breed please advise as i am totally new to keeping poultry! thanks Louise

Chickens and Geese should happily co-exist if they have enough space, especially if the geese are brought up from goslings with hens around. It's best to feed geese their wheat under water in a bucket so the hens don't pinch it all and get fat, laying no eggs!
