they are pure breed cream legbars except the lighter chick who was an accident and will be for sale not for keeps! they all doing well!

Chicks look amazing, I would ideally like to have some hens as near to point of lay as possible, I am in Ringwood in Hampshire, are these a friendly breed as my grandchildren live with us and I want to be able to let the hens roam our large back garden during the day.

hi,

they certainly wouldnt bother the children. as for handlnig its like any pet the more you handle them the tamer they become. my friends have pet cream legbars from my last years hatch and they are very friendly and the boys love them.
point of lay with these girls is around 21 weeks, i wont be keeping them that long. as soon as they are off the mum and a good size i will sell as otherwise and profit i will make on then they will have eaten in food before they leave!

The chicks are wonderful, growing so fast and daddy is a very handsome chap indeed. :D

thankyou! he is a stunner and very productive we have 18 hens and only him and all the eggs are fertile. wont be long and second batch will be here aswell and i will be busy!

How old will they be when you sell them? I am getting the chicken house around the beginning of May, so couldn't have them until then and will you have 5 hens to sell as i would like to get all the same breed.

thanks

Sue

hi sue,

they will be 6 weeks on the first of may and the second batch will be two weeks on the 4th may. i only have 3 cream legbar hens at the moment and an accidental chick who can't be sexed yet as it is a cross breed. if i get a good hatch there will be more hens for sale just 3 weeks younger than these and could go together.

they can go when they are 6wks but they will still be little. i like to sell them at a fair size ideally,

holly
