Hello
I am back again. Perky has suddenly turned today. She is shuting her eyes, standing with tail down, not interested in life and she won't give me a cuddle. Yes she gets on my lap and puts her head over my shoulder snuggled in my hair. They all look the same then. It is not my Perky no more. I'm sure some of you know what i mean. I feel helpless. Her droppings have suddenly changed aswell. They are all fluidy. She still feels the same, very hard not fluidy. Could this mean infection or what. I could get her to the Vet tomorrow but she will only give Baytril. Chicken vet did not recommend this. My Vet needs telling what to do. The Vet only has Auriomycin or Tylan and Tylan injectable. I have not got much cofidence in my Vet. I sent one two years ago knowing an egg was stuck. I watch them. The Vet dosen't. He felt up her vent and could not find an egg. Said she was very hot. Might have a cold. The Vet give a calcium injection and KY jelly as i asked. An egg come out broke up 6 hours later. She is still here at 4 years old laying everyday. I had one with a tumour, it turned out to be an egg the Vet felt. Another had a respiratory infection. Put on Baytril. I knew it was hopeless. Had her put down. PM showed a tumour in the lung. I know a Vet cannot feel tumours nor egg problems only when there is fluid that can be drained. Could you please help me on what to get my Vet to do or an antibiotic to use. I have purchased LG energy and gave her a 5 day course. Thankyou for any help. Maureen.
