hiya all, well we all seem to want to know this answer so here goes
following pics are:- first 4 are 7 week old road island red x light sussex
next 3 are 4 week old partridge silkies
any ideas?
thanks
No idea with the Silkies, much too early to tell, agree with NCOB, the top two are boys. Are you sure that the bottom two are the same age? Could be girls, but look a little younger? :?
Hi, i think the first four are cockerel, cockerel, pullet and cockerel
The silkies are too young- i could have an educated guess but would not be 100% at that age.

well thanks guys will be dissapointed if david is right or i will only have one hen to put with my other girls!!! thant not good as they will surly pick on her if she's on her own....will just have to wait i guess? keep the opinions comming tho lol thanks
Hi, they cant be pure RIR cockerel x pure l/sussex hen because some are boys and they are the wrong colour for that- if it was that cross and the parents are pure then the cocks would be mainly white- all the pullets would be brown- i know what you are saying Girlracer but it cant be that cross ( as long as parents are true)
Also they are too dark- more RIR than that cross would give.
