Chicken scratch

looking for a substitute for barley in my chicken scratch. I'm using corn, wheat, but the websites I researched says to use barley as a substitute for corn. I need a third grain, something other than barley. My feed supplier is Amish, and they don't feed scratch to thier laying hens, so he can't help me with a formula. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Oh, also a suggestion as to lbs pr grain. I start with 50 lbs of cracked corn, so how many lbs of wheat, how many of the 3rd grain? And can some one out there give me the formula for figuring the protein percentage of any given mixture. Math is not my strong suit, so I am lost.

You could try sunflower seeds, oats, or soybean meal.
