Can anybody tell me if the contents of the chicken shed ie.. sawdust, straw & poo can be used on allotment plot?

Yes it can - but it needs to be well rotted first.

I find the black plastic compost bins like the council offer are very good - mix a few grass clippings in as well as straw from the nest boxes and it will heat up nicely in a sunny spot. Give it 8 months to a year and you should start to get some compost from the bottom.

Wood shavings take the longest to break down but are the best bedding material. The chicken poo works wonders on the plot.

I will second that, if you have compost bins down lottie, just fill layer them every so often pour human wee  over it ( morning sample is best stronger) acts as a accelerator to break it down also keeps rats away.
I have comphrey growning down there I add a few leaves of that between.
My girls supply the manure etc and they get the young weeds they love it hee hee its called recycling ;)
