Chicken Feed

I'm planning on 50 chicks. How much feed do they need in 2 months? I'm planning to buy from this mill.

we have about 40 birds, including hens, growers, ducks & quail.
they seem to be getting through about 20kg layers pellets a week as the weather's got colder.

(though some are wasteful, and I suspect nasty rat has a proportion too :evil: )

so thats 160kg in 2 months...

think I'm going to have a word with my lot :-o five 20 kg bags a week my lot are getting through and I haven't got that many more 05 o.k most are growers and must admit they can eat 07 so I guess it depends on what breed of chickens you are getting. 19

It depends on how big your birds are, pekins etx dont eat as much as the warrens and orpingtons, I am getting through around 20 bags of 25kg a week.

Thanks... We're getting 5 different kinds of birds... Wellsummer, Wyandotte, Amauracana, and a few other. Our newest problem is that our business of choice doesn't have chick starter, only chicken feed. I know the main difference is amount of protein, but I'm wondering what I could maybe add to it, to get it up to par. Any suggestions?
Oh ya, we're organic.
