Chicken coop made from pallets

Has anybody ever build a chicken coop made out of pallets?....after all I saw a garden programme a while back on TV where they converted a couple of pallets into a seat, etc, of course the sanded it down :lol: but it looked ral good 17 and I was thinking maybe I could build something similar for my chooks 05

The only thing I have build from pallets was my compost bin,but propobly could be done.The boards usually thin on the pallets and wood not to great,so wandering how whether proof you could make from this.Mind you chickens not very fussy clients so anything which give them shelter from element is a bonus .Good luck and show as a pictures

Hard to make the pallett wood waterproof unless you used a router to cut a groove in the planks so that you could overlap them.

Agree with Chuck. It may be a bit difficult. I made mine from some old used shuttering ply.

my step dad has made a big run out of mainly pallet and wire. he is going to make a coop too but he managed to get heave weight pallets which were made out of wide slates and extra stron also 3 pallets long.
il have to get some photos done.
hes good at scrap recycling

How does he make them watertight ?

I'm a great recycler as well so always interested in peoples DIY efforts.
