Chicken being sick/regurgitating?

Just a quick post and not something that I'm worried about but just wondered on opinions of the forum. Over the weekend the girls were free-ranging and I'm sure they forget to drink regularly when they are out and about! At one point they all gathered at the drinker and were drinking lots, and lots! It was like a competition!

When they all walked away one of the girls put her head down and a bit of the water just spilled back out!!

I'm sure she's not unwell, she more than happy in every way but has anyone experienced a chicken vomiting?? :-)03
 
thats perfectly normal my little girl does it she eats loads and loads then drinks then when she bends down it comes back up.
Unless you think the crop is impacted or sour nothing to worry about.
 
I'm pretty confident all's well in the crop department - it was just a bit weird!! :-)07
 
Yes, I've seen that. Crop full of water and they lower their head and -woops- overdone the drinking again! Never had a chicken do that and then be ill, lots of them do it, particularly the piggy Orpingtons.
