my two week old chick has a cold. She also had a sticky bum. Got told this are related and could be an infection? Anything i can do to make her better and stronger heath. Shes next to my heater and also eats chick crum? Any type of feed i should feed her?x

Is she your only chick? Have you got it under a heatlamp/electric hen? or is it with a broody? Sticky bum suggests there is a draught. Is your brooder open or has it got high sides? Chick crumb is the only thing it should be eating.
Would suggest for immediate action to put a very small amount of ACV in the drinking water, make sure water is at room temperature before they drink as can cause a chill otherwise & poopy bum. Its 20ml per litre but would think about 10ml for chicks (someone please amend if im wrong) Theres a section about ACV on the forum so please read before using it.
you can also give some well chopped up oregano &dandelion leaf which should help the sticky bum. i would also suggest giving your vet a call as if an infection will need antibiotics.

yeah shes the only chick for now.
Hoping to get her a little friend as she has only just turned 3 weeks.
Shes never to a heater thats on 2/3 all day. Shes in a carboard box as we wsnt prepared to have her, We found her haha.
Shes eatin her chick crumb fine & drinking. Ive been givin her luke warm water.
Whats ACV?? Is it like ACP?
Im gona take her to vets Friday as its my day of.

ACV is apple cider vinegar. I would get her a pal as chicks are social creatures and do better with a few friends. Bunged up bottoms can also be a sign that the brooder is to warm, at 3 weeks the heat lamp should be a few inches higher than the box, by 6 weeks they should be off heat. Move the heat source up by 1" each week.
