never occurred to me. Topple was energetic about life and anything around him, he was a tiny dynamo, so, ignored by everyone else, he belted around like a miniature fury enjoying himself.
Seriously, though, I am so sorry for the loss of your little bird, having lost most of my flock in the winter of 2011/spring 2012, I know what utter heartbreak these little critters can cause.
