Chick laid egg!

Hi, just had to tell someone that one of my chicks which hatched in November laid her first egg today! I knew it was her because the egg was only the size of a bantam egg and very dark brown (dad is a French maran) I'm so pleased been waiting a few weeks now seeing her face getting redder. It's so rewarding to know you incubated and looked after her as a chick and she has started laying I'm sure many of you know the feeling xx
