Hi there - Does anyone know anything about Cayugas (hope I have spelt that right)

I am thinking of utility birds more than show birds. What sort of size to they make, and how quickly do they grow? How many eggs would they lay in a year? What would be the best ratio of males to females? Are they good foragers?

And anything else interesting about them as a breed.

Many thanks
Sue

iv got some Cayugas crosses. hoping they would lay the lovely brown eggs but alass we got blue. they started laying younger than my cambels and have layed egg for egg the same as the camble so far 3 weeks lay 6 days a week and a week off strange never had ducks befor. they are not a flity bird so are making quite good pets slightly bigger than a malard but bein xes i dont know what side this coming from

no sorry i dont know. one looks a bit like a runner in the way it holds its self upright and is slimmer but the other is lower down like a camble so dad might of been a camble x runner lol just guessing
iv been told 3 girls to one boy but the way my boys are i think i need about 6 girls to 1.

here are the 2 girls in question there mum was a cayugas. the 2 boys are complete mix of a friends pond
