hey i have my vorwerk eggs in incubator now been in 8 days whens best to candle them like will there be alot to see now and can i use a hand held led torch

Yes you can candle now its a good time I normally do mine at 10 days, and a handheld LED torch is fine, particularly if you can angle the beam so its smaller, and its powerful. Don't do it for too long though!

I do worry about these LED candlers. The beam is very bright- too bright for human eyes to look into. The first thing that is developed with a chick are the very complex eyes and I wonder if too much light intensity damages them in any way? Not something I would risk.

I know what you mean Chris, but I've been doing it for years, and not noticed any problem. I only candle twice, and I do it quickly.
