Broken Beak??

Hi,

Another novice chicken owner question!

My Silkie Cockerel has managed somehow to chip his top beak over the weekend, will it grow back????
He is fine, eating, drinking and happy but slightly disfigured!

Hi, it will grow back as long as it has not broken too high up - was it long or very overgrown? you can trim them if too long or causing problems but you need to know what you are doing :roll: As long as he is eating and drinking ok i wouldn't worry too much.

I will stop flapping, it was a perfect beak, not overgrown or with any problems, don't know why he decided to do a diy nose job!??

I had a fav cock who lost a sieable lump out of his beak after a good manly fight, it grew back (and his was to the quick and bleeding) - he'll be beautifull again soon

No it was my beloved old Mullah RIP - his beak was broken in half by my gold Brahma cock, 2 years ago - 3 months later he was in the show ring again!!
