Boy or Girl 4ish month old Light Sussex?

I'll be the first to take the plunge and say "looks like a girl to me", but I'm not an expert, beautiful chick though, I LOVE Light Sussex!!!!!

Well, apart from the colour, my Buff Sussex, Marigold, looked very like that at 4 months. I would agree with Val, I would expect more comb development at 4 months in a cockerel. Looks as if you've struck lucky there!

Hello Erous1 and welcome to the forum. I'd say a girl as well, as I would expect to see a larger comb and wattles, a bigger tail and the sign of spurs developing. Having said that though we have a Orpingdotte cockerel who looked much like a hen at 4 months and I couldn't really tell for certain. It's much easier to spot them when you have a larger number and you can compare. You will know in two months when it either crows or lays.

Not clear cut but I too would say pullet though I would have expected a longer adult type tail as the pullet tails develop before the ones on the males. Lack of comb development and leg size would also suggest pullet.
