Sadly, our new grey CPQ Olwen was in fact a male and couldn't live with Houdini any more so this afternoon he was taken to a rehoming centre where he discovered a wonderful cage of females. I am sure he was delighted as he had been isolated for a week. It was sad to see him go as he was such a lovely little fellow and was terribly tame and gentle, but i know he'll be happier with his own kind.

And...we picked up two DEFINITE females. A Blonde coloured female called 'Honey' who is very interested in our current eggs (though she has yet to lay) and Izzy, our flirt.

Houdini was delighted to be with two other gorgeous ladies as well as his wife Molly and within 10 minutes of introductions set about impregnating everything in the cage...including his red toy ball.

Molly had some initial rage but as soon as Houdini had given her 'attention' she calmed straight down and enjoyed cuttlefish pecking with Izzy.

Just keeping you updated! ;)

Hugh Hefner, eat your heart out!

Glad your family is now complete at least for the time being. With 3 females there will be plenty for mini-scotch eggs at your picnics this summer!

They are already laying! Last night we went to bed there were 4 eggs, this morning 6! Honey seems to be the 'nanny' as in, she hasn't laid yet but wants to look after the eggs. I hope she will sit on them because we want itty bitty babies running around. ;)
