Just have to tell you about Biggins!

He is an enormous black cochin cockbird, around 4 years old and a gentle giant. Tonight I popped my head into the main shed where he lives to quickly check and count the birds, well I have a tiny australorp cross caled Babe, who is moulting bless her and although she is growing feathers back think she is finding it tough, she is no spring chicken.. :-)01 , anyway, after a closer look noticed that Biggins had tucked her completely under his wing! It was such a sweet thing to see, just had to share! :D :D

AHHHHHHHH.....Foxy,

What a gentleman he is...... 0:-) .......and such a lovely little bedtime story.

Actually one of the reasons Biggins is special, is that for eight months he was actually "Jenny"
My only purchase from Salisbury, just saw her...errr him and my arm suddenly shot up....I bought this shy, awkward pullet for £26!!!

Can't believe I have just admitted to that...

Awwwwwww.....Bless :) What a beautiful boy.......just how a man should be(obviously more in touch with his feminine side because of your mistake)

Aw bless his cottons! Bet hec could teach a few less chivalrous men out there a thing or two... I could give u my hubby for some training?!?!

How lovely. I do love cockerals, mine was a girl once too - until she started crowing - but I'm so glad I've got him. He's much friendlier than the girls, and so sweet with them. When it was cold we regularly found him sitting between his wives with his wings spread out over them so just their little heads peeped out.
