No idea what the biggest egg is. Have you searched online via a search engine for large eggs recorded somewhere?

Take a pic of it next to a ruler so you can show exactly how big it is/was. Also weigh it on the scales and take a pic of that.

O and then come back and share the pics here. I'd love to see an egg that size :D

Thats a biggy!!! a friend of mine has plymouth rocks and they went through a week of laying soft shelled eggs then laid one that was at least 4" long.... walked witha waddle after that one!!!

Goodness gracious - thats huge. Are you sure you're not keeping an Ostrich  I wonder how many yolks it will have.

photos on the way guys just waiting for daughter to put them on

Lol we had that happen a couple summers ago... Our RIRs were all laying great, all eggs the same size large eggs... and then one day one of our gals laid an egg that was about 3 1/2in long and 1 1/2-2 in wide! and She was one of the smaller hens in the flock too! We never ate it, we actually stored it in an airtight jar to keep
But WOW, thats a really large egg! I would look up what Info you can find on records, and Yes, def post a pic here if you can!

Sorry to put a bit of a damper on this, but if you have a look at this, http://community.guinnessworldrecords.com/_Largest-chicken-egg/photo/5070806/7691.html, this egg is 10cm - (4" in old money) yet this claim is double that size at 8". I would have to see photographic evidence against a ruler before believing this I'm sorry
