Have read in my chicken book that beaks can overgrow & I definately think this has happened to my Brittany. Her bottom beak is longer than the top & the top is hanging over to the left of the bottom.
How easy is it to trim beaks & any tips on how to do this? Does it have a vein or such like running through to be aware of & what tool would I need for the job. ( I say I, but hubby has offered to have a go)!

Hello, so, she has a twisted beak rather than an overgrown one? You can trim the end with nail clippers- they will bleed if you take too much off- have some wound powder, styptic pencil handy just in case- try to take enough off so she can eat properly.
regards, David :)
