Beak/bill rot??? Ohhhhh nooo (Peking ducks 7 months old)

My baby girl all of a sudden has developed this weird mark on her beak it's like acid has been put on her beak, it's gone soft, ripples and bloody colour it looks nasty, this developed over night, from all research ave done it appears to be beak rot. Am gonna take her vet tomoorw, also the other one seems to have a flaking beak and the other one has a darkened stain, I'm worrie that they all have it? What is the. Purse of it, if treated will they be ok???

It sounds like a fungal infection Paddy. The vet will probably give you an anti-fungal treatment and/or an anti-biotic in case there is also a bacterial infection.

It could just be their bills falking and the dark spots are normal for females. Can you post a pic and also let us know what your vet says please x

Vet has put her on 5 day course of anti biotics , seems to be infection, maybe got in through small cut etc on beak, I'll figure out how to send pics in a sec hah

Pic 1 is daisy who went the vet as she has it worse,

Pic 2 is lucky his is flaking been told this is just normal

Pic 3 gary a darker spot on his bill which just appeared a. Looked to be early stages of Daisy's,

The flaking is normal, as are the dark spots, although I am not sure what the brown patch is at the end of the bill.
I am curious about the way the feathers are lying on your ducks. They don't seem interlocked, have these ducks just been washed in something? Their feathers should lie very smooth and flat.... any chance of a full body image Paddy? Your babies are gorgeous!!!!

Hi, yes the vet put her on anti biotics he took her last one today, he agrees it's infection of some sort but he ain't to worried, the very is brilliant and I trust him very much, yes my baby's are always in the shower haha, they love a warm shower after being out in cold haha. Ye he also said flaking is normal, an them little sits are pigment so there pretty normal,
