Baldness and big eggs

Poor Cindy is going through the henopause, I mean a moult. ? She's feeling so sorry for herself because her feathers are falling out and she looks like a ragamuffin. Whilst she has only laid 3 eggs in 2 weeks, two were double yolkers and today's was a whopping 85g.

Ouch! Poor girl! At least she was lucky enough to get the moulting season. RIP all her mates, who didn't have the chance to live so long, and in such luxury.
