I feel sure that Betty ('the bobster') must be laying by now and I'm getting occasional small eggs in the boxes that would make sense except they are a fairly deep brown. Maybe it's one of the others but they seem to be laying occasional bigger eggs. Aerial, the very affectionate CB, is laying regular big pale brown eggs now.

Cream Legbar eggs should range from sky blue to green in colour Rick. I once saw some Cream Legbar hatching eggs being sold at a Poultry auction in Penkridge, Staffordshire- they were all white, so not a good Pedigree. Never heard of a CLB laying brown eggs and genetically that would be impossible I think, based on the origin of the CLB?

As Chris says, the breed standard for CLBs says blue to green eggs, but there are lots of hybrid crosses out there which look like CLBs to all but the expert eye, though they've got other genes which mean they don't lay true.
My Nutmeg is purebred CLB and lays beautiful blue eggs, but Speedwell, my Chalk Hill Blue hybrid lays sort of greenish ones, not so pretty but at least very regular!

Sweetie my Legbar/Leghorn lays light blue egg. I think the blue gene is prominent so any type of Legbar or Araucana cross should lay a blue or green egg.
I'm not good at genetics (or photography)!

I think it's safe to say she hasn't layed yet then because none of these shells have even a trace of blue or green in them.
Comb is fairly big and reddening now and she's pigging down the food. Oh the anticipation!

A very vibrantly coloured egg, like Cyan on the old ZX Spectrum, at least you can breath a sigh of relief that she's not a khaki layer.

It is a relief because it feels like she's passed a milestone after a somewhat shaky start. Sprouts and yogurt all round to celebrate! Thanks

One of the lovely things about beautiful eggs like this, is that the blue goes right through the shell - the inside is the same colour as the outside. You've got a good little girl there, Rick.

Fabulous egg colour - congratulations! And the pink ones are pretty too.

Thanks. She's laid two so far. The sisters seem to be determined not to be outdone and are also back to laying. Telling them it's Autumn now - take a break!
