Just wondering if anyone has tried these? I have chicks in arks and growers in pens in an old ,beamed , oak framed barn. ArkS and pen frames are fine to treat but I should probably treat the barn some how.No way could I treat it efficiently with topical stuff and thought it might be worth using some of the Fumers (I have not seen any on the barn wood but -I bet they are there somewhere!). Just wondered if anyone has found they work! Ros

Hi Ros
Hope you are well and th speckled are still laying well. I have bought 2 and sue to try them this weekend, will keep you updated on how I get on.

Take care Sue

Hi Ros, i have used loads of these- they seem very good- just use twice as many as they say and block as many openings as possible- but having said that, i would use them again no problem.
regards, David :)

Thanks guys-----certainly worth a go then , especially as its a case of them or nothing!Sue --the specks from you remain a great success , they are still the best colour I've seen ,plenty of eggs, plenty of chicks--every egg set from them hatched! Ros :D

Hi all

Glad to hear that these fumers work as I only ordered some yesterday afternoon in an act of desperation and determination to beat these little red vampires we all lovingly know as red mites...sounds stupid but I hate these little bu**ers so much that I have declared war on them - how dare they attack my ex-batts, havent they been through enough already? ;)

Joking aside - do red mites die or become domant in the colder months?
