Visited a neighbour, well a mile or two away. We were sat in the kitchen when I heard a bump bump bump noise of something falling down the stairs. There, shaking itself indignantly, was a half grown runner duck. Only in Fetlar would someone raise ducklings in their bedroom.

Reminds me of a council worker I knew that had to go and respond to a report of noisy neighbour's, crashing about at all hours in a house in Tilbury. Woman went into the house in question to be confronted by two Shetland Ponies living in the property with the family.
Only in Tilbury which has a large Irish and gypsy community.
