aggressive behavior

My 1 year old male Swedish black duck has suddenly become aggressive. He tries to peck my feet and even bites my arms. Does anyone know what causes this.

Well if they are anything like cockerels Rbivie it will be just the time of year. They get very aggressive as they are protecting their flock from intruders, their flock being the ones breeding the next generation. Inbuilt behaviour which they exhibit even without a flock to actually protect.

Hiya Yes agreed with previous post, its the time of year, drakes will fight no matter how much space or how many lades they have. Its the season where the girls should be nesting so the boys are all left alone and consequently they fight for many reasons. It will last a couple more months probably. Horrible season.

Thanks for your replies, I kinda thought that might be what it is but wanted to make sure. I can't even feed them without him getting crazy . be glad when this passes.
