hello there
i wonder if any one can give me any advice
we have 7 chickens here and one of them (jerry) suffers a stroke like attack almost daily
we have hand reared her since she was 4 days old and she is now almost a year old.
she is fit and well, holds the same weight as the others. eats and drinks normally. however for the last 6 months or so she will have a fit when coming out of her shed in the morning, it starts with the head dropping to one side and a loss of balance (although she doesn't fall over) lasting about 3 seconds then she is in a daze for 20 seconds and then is absolutely fine.
Last night however i went to shut them in and as always took my torch, i shone the torch around the shed to head-count and jerry fitted again, i am thinking it is something to do with light now....
also she lays eggs daily, should they be eaten?
