Advice for a friend on baytril

A friend of mine had a hen who's about 18 weeks old, it just finished a course (5 days) of baytril, but hers is still sneezing though not as much as before. What should she do? Carry on giving the baytril, go back to the vets? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

It probably means the bug causing the infection is not sensitive to Baytril , may need change of antibiotics/microbiology swab? Ros

Hi, i would advise her to call her vet- the bird may need a longer course or some other antibiotic.

Sounds to me as though you could do with chlortetracylin,combined with tylosin.

Thanks everyone for the advice, I'll pass it on your recommendations. I was feeling a bit bad as my black rock has really perked up and is back to her usual self. Sounded like they had similar things but obviously not!
