I'm thrilled to say I've added to my family of ladies wot lay! I went fully intending to buy four but you know how it is, I ended up with five. So to add to Cissie (Orp-ish) and Tina Turner ( black Silkie-ish) I now have Bella the splash Brahma, Maud the partridge (I think) Brahma, Mabel the very pretty brown Brahma bantam, Dotty tha deranged Leghorn, and Jemima the Araucana (bottom of the pecking order). I've got them in a brick built bedroom (no I haven't gone mad, it's the old coal shed of my Victorian semi) and they have a nice big run with net stretched over at a height of nearly six feet. That's one way of keeping the pesky pigeons out of the run. They've all settled in together very well so now I have seven bosses telling me they NEEEEED lots and lots of food ALL of the time! It's the only reason I work!
