So i got two ducklings a while ago and they grew up to be lovely boys and got on really well with my hens..... but now they've taken a liken to one of my poor hens and keep pestering her and doing unnecersary things to the poor girl. So my newest idea is to pen my ducks into the area around my pond and to add some lady ducks to the mix. Is this a good idea and should i buy some already sexual mature ones? This is my Drakes first summer so they are completely new to this aswell. Also how would you introduce them if its a good idea? Any help would be great. Thanks!

Hello. i would try and get fully grown ducks- and at least 4 if you have room- the more the better as you have two drakes and only getting one or two will cause the same problem as with your chicken! Especially at this time of year- they are not too bad in the winter. As for introductions- if they are fully grown ducks- just put them in the run with the drakes- there will be no fighting but plenty of loving
regards, David :)
