I would have thought so as you can give it to chickens, dogs, horses, us etc. Rate for chickens is 20ml per litre of water. Im sure davidd will give the correct answer if Im wrong!
Thanks for the replies, i will give dosage you recommend, but i will only be giving it in the overnight waterer (which they cant get into) anyone know how often? or do you think its ok for every night as they wont get as much? how often do you give to larger chicken and ducks? thanks.
For chickens, some people give it once a month for a week; others give it everyday & others just give it when chooks are under the weather ie sniffles etc, moulting or when its cold as a pick me up. I use it once a month, but if mine are under the weather I give every day,
Do what suits you & your little ducks would love to see pics
ACV or Apple Cider Vinegar is very popular with poultry keepers because it is a general all round tonic for the birds - it provides lots of trace elements and minerals as well as being useful at discouraging worms in the gut (making the pH of the gut slightly acidic, an environment that worms don't like). It's good at times of stress and there have been commercial tests done to verify this benefit in free range egg production systems when moving birds to new housing and so on.
There's an FAQ on ACV in the General Chickens>Chickens FAQ forum (or just follow the link )
