So pleased that I have 3 healthy little critters...and from initial vent sexing (will find out later how accurate I was!) a girl and two boys!

Girl is on the right.

Just lost one of them. Suddenly went down hill, started gasping, and within a few minutes died in my hands. Really gutted...I think it was the girl.

Just to update. I lost another from the hatch some time later. He never really grew properly and I found him dead one morning. The other boy, is doing great. I got 2 year old female abacot ducks who are doing really well and will hopefully keep this as my initial trio. At moment they have some runner duck friends and a lonely guinea keet, and my disabled hen for company.

Another quick update, my trio are doing great AND the girls have come into lay, or at least one of them has. First day, a whopper of an egg, second one a bit smaller. Nicely egg shape though...just need to check the boy is *ahem* performing.

My boy is doing well, and both girls are laying daily. I have incubated 10 eggs and all are fertile. Have lost one but the other 9 still developing well. Looking forward to the ducklings coming out!
