Hello All :D

Help I need photos!

I enjoy writing articles for the site but I really have difficulty getting photos to use. I only keep a limited number of breeds myself and I'm certainly no expert photographer either... and I don't 'steal' photos off the internet or even from the forum without first obtaining your permission.

If you have any photos that I could use, I would be very appreciative. I can usually add a note under them to credit the photographer.

I am especially looking for pure breed photos to improve the chicken breeds areas but photos of hybrids are also required as well as every day photos of chickens doing normal things are always very useful.

If you have any I could use, please email them to me here: [email protected]

Thank you so much and thanks for reading.

Tim

Fantastic, thank you! :D

I can't see your web site listed in the member info?

I'm going to try to have another go at the breeds photos over the next few months and Christmas so by the spring there should be some good pages.

Took some of my motley crew today- they're not exactly exhibition birds but I like them! - will email you some once I sort through them- are there any behaviours you particularly want photos of?

Oh Wow! I would love some more photos Sue... :D

I could use pretty much all of those breeds on the site.

Thank you!

Tim.

Hi - Stefan and Sue,

I'm finally getting around to getting some of the breeds sections sorted out. 33 so far but still a way to go to cover all UK standardised breeds...

Are you still happy for me to use some photos from your website Stefan (with credit underneath)? I really like the Rosecombes, Minorca, Modern Game and Plymouth Rock photos and could use these over the next couple of months.

Sue, I'm so sorry it has taken me so long to put your photos online - I still have them here, ready to go.

It's taking quite a while to get these pages online but I am chipping away at it and will use the photos I promise.

Thanks again!

Tim

Hi Blue,

Yes, absolutely loads... Basically If you take a look at the Chicken Breeds Page and scroll down a little, you will find the "Chicken Breeds Selecter" that I am creating - this is a huge undertaking as there are so many breeds to find photos for!

So basically, where there is a gap, I need to find a good example photo of the breed to cut out and if you follow a link from one of these breeds to the breeds page, at the bottom there are articles / photos of that breed - so general back garden photos of a breed go in here together with breed specific articles. Orpington is a good example as there are lots of Orpington Photos.

It's a bit of a big project but one day I hope to cover all Standardised breeds in the UK :D

Hmm, yes, good luck with that!!
:D

might be able to help with photos of 3 or 4 breeds you're missing... but they are still babies yet, so I'll wait til they've grown abit!

A few my husband has taken of our chicks as they were growing. Aruacuna, Maran and Red and Exchequor leghorn.

Take what you want, they do have a decorative border (you know what these arty photographers are like) and are sized for the web o small versions, but if you want them without / full size just let me know.

Only have the Exchequor Leghorn left as the others went to the breeder we got the eggs from. But she is growing and I would expect my husband to do some more as she gets bigger.

Hi Chickadoodle.,

Wow, they look great! I would love to use some of them if you don't mind... I will credit the photographer or your user name underneath..

The size / resolution is fine but ideally I'd need them without the border - and labelled so I know what each one is, then I can put them in the right breed section of the site.

Would you be able to send a couple to me? The email address is: [email protected]

Many thanks!

Tim
