Thats a great idea - writing on them. I've had to explain to family before. "Why the fake eggs?!?" My two year old still doesn't get it. "egg?" no - it's fake!

I'm using two right now. One in each lay box. They seem to work pretty well though I did lose a couple over the years and never could figure out where the heck they went. I'm not sure if there's any reason NOT to use them. So I recommend!

Oh no! I haven't used anything like that before but I can't imagine any of my hens would allow for it. Have you tried the number posted above? Keep us updated!

I agree that more information is useful @Travlr but in this case I still think it's inhumane. I wish they could farm the ducks and let their livers enlarge naturally. I think I could be ok with the ducks being harvested for something that happens to them *naturally* But we all know force feeding...

That's a pro tip there @Icemaiden I definitely have a lot more luck switching feeds when I ween them on to the new one by mixing. Works well for the dogs too. :D

Hi @Suzy172 welcome to the forum! I'm sorry your duck isn't feeling well! I think you might be able to try terramycin ointment for eye infections of this sort. A triple antibiotic ointment like neosporin might help as well.

Yes they usually do but this mulch pile is right next to my new strawberry patch and I do not want my hens anywhere near those! ;)

Just wanted to report that I fed my dog a pork chop that was too old and she barfed it up :( I dug through my mulch pile and found some really juicy grubs for my hens. They loved that
