    YEAH EGGS!!

My singular Khaki Campbell girl, at 5 mo old, started laying this week!!! (barely escaping the butcher block next week.) I also have a singular Cayuga girl. I have these girls for eggs to eat, with no intent on incubating. However, I have 7 drakes. Currently, all 9 run together. So my...

    drakes' beak color, butcher age

Some of my khaki campbell drakes have a greenish/yellow beak color, as opposed to a more beige color. It is their entire beaks, so I've ruled out grazing stains. Their current feed: free range during the day, with fresh zucchini/lettuce in their water, as well as wheat. At night, there's...

    Duck Newcomer questions

I have 6 khaki campbells (for eggs) and 3 cayugas (for a splash of color) ranging from 4-5 weeks. From the sounds of it, I can tell I have at least one drake amongst them (hopefully more, cuz I don't want THAT many eggs!). From my research, nearly everyone has free-range ducks. I don't...
