My girls are now about 19/20 weeks and appear to be moulting. Do I need to give them extra/different food? They are all three healthy and active and free-range most of the day but they do like their grub and come running up when they see me.

Could anyone recommend a bog-standard informative book with all the basics of feeding, etc in it. I have one but it's more of a coffee-table book with lots of lovely pics of hens I haven't got and short on the things I actually want to know.

Went to local suppliers last week and they'd run out so ordered from Amazon who promised it for today. The hens arrive tomorrow - what can I use until the bedding gets here? I have an Eglu Classic which is up and ready. Could I use lightweight cat litter?

Forgive me if I've missed it but I've searched the FAQs and found nothing. I'd like to hear about this system from someone who uses it/has used it , please. I've read a lot but the online accounts are full of 'ifs and buts'. I think it might be a method that would work for me. :)
