    New Arrivals

    Feeding up this morning and looked around to find a Muscovy Duck with five newly hatched ducklings. Put them in a pen as the mother doesn't seem very sensible. Two remaining eggs put in the incubator just in case ! Meant to throw the eggs away before she had a chance to get too settled on them.

    Muscovy hatched 38 days.

    A Muscovy last week hatched eggs after 38 days. I know that ducks and geese can 'cover' their eggs for a few days before the actual incubation starts. I now have some eggs in the incubator, how long should they take to hatch ?

    Feed for newly hatched muscovy ducklings

    Not having hatched ducks for many years, I am picking up that chick crumb is OK for them as long as it has no coccidiostat - is this correct. Any other feeds suitable for them in the early days/weeks ?

    Muscovy ducks wanted
