Anyone know the best breed to show for a beginner?

Hello there, I've had garden chicks before but I'm wanting to get a flock of good quality rare breeds for showing and breeding although they will have to be hardy as going to keep them in open secure fields with coops anybody any ideas on breeds best suited and any general info on showing?
