We have 5 lovely baby turkeys now almost 1 week old. They are in an approximately 4 foot high brooder with a bantam hen who is doing a sterling job of looking after them. I would like to let them free as soon as possible. To get to the brooder there is a wooden pallet which the bantam quite happily flies/hops/skips up and down (not at the moment obviously). When will it be safe for me to open the door for them for them to safely fly/hop/skip in and out on their own?
