I've had 2 beautiful Pilgrim female geese for over 10 years. They were sisters. So sad, I lost one a couple of weeks ago to something which killed one of them through her locked and fenced pen. I was devastated. It is heartbreaking to see my remaining goose by herself. I really don't want to give her up but will if she would be happier with more of her kind. Does this seem like the proper thing to do...will she be able to adjust to a new place and new ducks, geese? I am so sad for her (well, and me!) thanks

That's awful news and I really feel for the pair of you. I can't imagine that she's not lonely. Might you not consider getting her a new friend?

So sad :( from my experience with geese they struggle to be accepted into a new group, they are very clique! I would go for the option of getting her a buddy or finding someone else who has a single one and getting them together. I know a few people with single geese so there are lots out there I think! Good luck!

Had two Pilgrims females. One was killed by a raccoon. Just two Peking ducks, but the goose wanted nothing to do with them. The remaining goose became very aggressive/angry with our family and was eventually shipped of to a local small zoo. I believe they also eventually got rid of her.
