hello
can anyone help i have a white sussex thats not well for the last three days shes been very lethargic just stood around not getting involved always seems to be closing her eyes hunched up and she has been what seems like yawning she seems to be eating and drinking ok all my other ladies seem fine any ideas

I was reading an article recently which talked of gapeworm, apparently when chickens have this it can look like they are yawning, have she been wormed recently?

Yes I agree needs worming... shaking of the head / yawning /coughing can all point to gape worm.
Personally I would get the vets advice at this stage though in case there's something else...

would you belive i have just completed there monthly worming with verm x in fact she became ill at about the first day of worming shes still no better today but no worse either its a worry isnt it
i am putting garlic and acv in there water a trip to the vet looks likley

Verm-X is pretty good - but gape worms are pretty tough too - not sure how long it would take to kill off gape worms with Verm-X.

Sounds like you may need to pop her to the vets - I would certainly consider a dose of Flubenvet though just in case although we could well be barking up the wrong tree here - a poultry vet should be able to get a better idea of what's going on after examining her.
