On Friday I went up to feed the girls & found that Nibbles had a bleeding comb. Not a problem; I've got some purple antiseptic spray & plastic gloves.

I squirted some spray onto a tissue to wipe onto her comb, but it just stayed on the tissue, so I covered her eyes & sprayed her comb instead. Less than impressed, Nibbles did her best "wet dog" impression, giving her head a good shake & splashing the spray all over my face! Now I've got purple freckles...

I got some funny looks in Sainsbury's later!

You may find it’s easier to spray some of the purple stuff on to a saucer and then use a cotton bud to apply it more accurately, though.

I remember having to spray a hen with a cut foot, popped hen on lap and sprayed her foot as it rested on my leg, I had shorts on. It was an interesting design though on my leg
